Why a small specialist agency would pay for this

There are 30,035 recruitment agencies in the UK and 79.5 per cent of them employ fewer than ten people, according to the REC Recruitment Industry Status Report. That is the business RoleDemand is priced and built for.

Who is RoleDemand for?

RoleDemand is built for the owner or director of a two to fifty person specialist recruitment agency who is also the business development function, and who has nobody in-house whose job is to analyse a market.

The people this is for share a specific problem. They know their market by name and by reputation, they cannot afford an analyst, and they are asked in client meetings to describe a market they have no systematic view of. Enterprise workforce-intelligence platforms exist for that job and are priced for corporate talent teams.

What does it change in a business development conversation?

It lets you open a client call with what the market did rather than what you hope it did. You can say how many employers in their sector opened a role this month, which functions grew, and which went quiet, and you can attribute every number to the employer that published it.

  • Which of the employers you track opened roles this cycle, and which stopped
  • Which role families grew and which shrank over 30 days
  • Which employers are hiring in a function you already place into
  • A short written summary you can forward without editing it

Why does this matter more in 2026 than it did?

UK vacancies fell to 712,000 in April to June 2026, down 2.5 per cent on the year and down in 11 of 18 industry sectors, according to the Office for National Statistics on 21 July 2026. Fewer briefs are being placed, so more of the conversations you do get are competitive ones where a client is comparing you against another agency in the same week.

What does a consultant actually do with it on a Monday morning?

They open the dashboard, read which tracked employers opened roles since the last cycle, and use that list to decide who to call. The insight pack gives them the two or three sentences of market context to lead the call with.

The dashboard opens on what changed, so there is nothing to configure before it is useful. A consultant who has never used a business intelligence tool should be able to get a call list out of it inside a minute, which is the standard the interface is held to.

How much of my team's time does it take?

None after setup, and setup is a conversation rather than a project. You name the market and the employers once. Collection, quality checks, repairs when an employer moves their careers page, and the setup itself are all inside the £169 a month.

The setup conversation is where your time goes: agreeing which employers belong in the market and how roles should be grouped for your desk. It carries no fee of its own. After that the run is scheduled, and a source that breaks is our problem to fix. At £169 a month the subscription comes to £2,028 a year, held at that rate for the first 12 months.

If the first insight pack does not tell you something you could use in a client conversation, you can stop inside 30 days and nothing further is charged. That is the whole of what you are agreeing to before you have seen your own market.

What if my market is not one of the eleven already seeded?

The eleven seeded packs are demonstrations, not the catalogue. A market pack is a list of employers plus the wording and groupings that fit your desk, so a new market is a configuration job rather than a product change.

You can see what a scoped market looks like across the 11 seeded packs, each one carrying its own employer registry, geography and role groupings.

Summary in plain language

RoleDemand is built for the owner of a two to fifty person specialist recruitment agency who does their own business development and has no in-house analyst.

The REC Recruitment Industry Status Report counts 30,035 recruitment agencies in the UK, of which 79.5 per cent employ fewer than ten people.

UK vacancies fell to 712,000 in April to June 2026, down 2.5 per cent on the year and down in 11 of 18 industry sectors, according to the Office for National Statistics on 21 July 2026.

RoleDemand Core costs £169 a month per agency and tracks up to 50 employers, which is below the published price of LinkedIn Recruiter Lite at £170 a month per seat. RoleDemand Plus costs £299 a month and tracks up to 100. Setting the market up is included and there is no setup fee.

An agency that finds the first insight pack unhelpful can cancel inside 30 days and nothing further is charged.

After setup, an agency does no work to keep RoleDemand running. Collection, quality checks and source repair are part of the monthly fee.
