What construction employers are hiring for
A construction client asks: Which contractors have just won work, and what are they short of on it?
RoleDemand answers it from the career pages of the employers you name, read again every day, with every figure traceable to the employer that published it.
No signup. Send your market and up to ten employers. I'll build the sample and send it back.

Counts come from the seeded demonstration pack on disk. A client pack is built from their own employer list.
What does RoleDemand cover in construction?
RoleDemand tracks the construction employers you name and reads their open roles from their own career pages every day. The seeded pack covers main contractors and civil engineering firms, structural and building-services consultancies, architecture practices, residential developers, building products manufacturers, and construction technology vendors across the UK and Europe.
The pack covers 16 countries with the United Kingdom leading. Geography, employer list and role groupings are pack settings, so a client pack can be narrower or wider than this one.
Which construction roles does it track?
All of them, then grouped by function and seniority so a desk can read the market at a glance. In construction that usually means project and commercial management, design and engineering disciplines, and site leadership.
Classification runs on every posting: function, seniority and the skills named in the description.
What moves construction hiring?
A contract award or a framework place. Quantity surveyors, planners and commercial managers are advertised while the job is still being mobilised, well before the site roles, so the commercial hiring is the early warning and the site hiring is the confirmation.
None of that is a prediction. It describes the order employers advertise in, and it is why a daily read of a whole market beats a monthly read of a few: the roles that tell you something arrive before the announcement, and they are only visible while they are open.
Why is construction hiring hard to track by hand?
The 19 employers in the seeded construction pack publish their vacancies through 6 different applicant tracking platforms. 8 on SmartRecruiters, 4 on Pinpoint, 3 on Greenhouse, and the remaining 4 spread across 3 more. Reading that market by hand means opening 19 careers pages that behave 6 different ways, every day, before anyone has made a call.
| Applicant tracking platform | Employers |
|---|---|
| SmartRecruiters | 8 |
| Pinpoint | 4 |
| Greenhouse | 3 |
| 3 other platforms | 4 |
RoleDemand reads 34 of these platforms, which is what makes a daily pass over a whole market practical. The full list and the stages of a run are on how it works.
How many construction employers are already registered?
The seeded construction pack carries 19 employers, every one of them a real business whose public applicant tracking endpoint was checked by hand. How many a client's own pack holds is set by the plan: Core tracks up to 50, Plus up to 100.
An employer joins a pack only after their careers endpoint has been fetched and the response read. An endpoint that could not be confirmed is left out rather than recorded optimistically.
How current is the construction data?
It refreshes every day. A run collects each employer's open roles, works out what opened and closed since the previous cycle, and rebuilds the dashboard, so a consultant is quoting the last 24 hours rather than the last quarter.
The public sample dashboard is a build of the renewable energy pack rather than this one. The interface, the modules and the insight pack are the same in every market; only the employers and the role groupings change.
What does construction hiring intelligence cost?
RoleDemand Core costs £169 a month and tracks up to 50 construction employers. RoleDemand Plus costs £299 a month and tracks up to 100. Both are per agency rather than per seat, setting the construction market up is included, and an agency that finds the first insight pack unhelpful can cancel inside 30 days.
Core at £169 a month tracks up to 50 employers, and covers setting the pack up, the daily refresh, the dashboard and the insight pack. Plus at £299 doubles that to 100 employers and takes changes to the list and the role groupings on request. The cancellation window and the rate lock are on the pricing page.
